Sonar Sabar 1 + 2

Music is not just for listening, but an image of our reality

2006
Sonar Sabar 1 (3′40″)
Sonar Sabar 2 (4′43″)

Electro instrumental music

Between 2004 and 2006 “Cetacea” was composed, in which sound recordings of the Sabar drums and dolphin sounds (click trains) were made. The two small compositions “Sonar Sabar 1 and 2” were created from this abundant sound material, which I later made available to the “Nuclear-Free Future Award Foundation”.

My personal statement:

It is without discussion that in times of the Iraq war and climate catastrophes I am making my small composition “Sonar Sabar” available for your project. I wrote this together with the dolphins of the Dolphinarium in Duisburg and the ensemble of Doudou N’Diaye Rose from Senegal.
Music is not just for listening, but an image of our reality. You have to make this reality sound, i.e. produce resonances that keep our blue world circle in balance.
