Installation

For the sound installation ‘City room’ of the Belgian artist Marie-Jo Lafontaine, there were many radios with CD players spread out on the floor, I designed 4 longer lasting soundsapes / sound collages.

1st Lyon (30’01”)
2nd Sirenes (27’19”)
3rd Radios (30’03”)
4th City (29’51”)

These 4 sound carpets were not played simultaneously according to a planned principle, but were arranged randomly. This resulted in a mixture of sounds that could take place in a city. One walks through the metropolis and hears again and again new combinations of ambient sounds. The city sounds.
